Date set for Budget 2009
The Treasury has announced that the Chancellor, Alistair Darling will deliver his 2009 Budget statement to the House of Commons at 12.30pm on 22 April, after the Easter recess.
The timing of the Budget has been delayed so that the Chancellor can accommodate or respond to any decisions that are reached on dealing with the global economic crisis at the G20 summit, due to be staged in April.
